An architectural sequence from a building you have visited.

The marble masterpiece of The Taj Mahal is simply outstanding.  Entrance through the great gate a symbolic transition between the worldly realm of bazaars and the spiritual realm of the paradise garden, mosque and the mausoleum provides you also an amazing, almost breathtaking view of the mausoleum. It stops you and make you admire the sight. Like if it was framed just to do that. And it seems so close. Then you go through and realise there is a whole Mughal garden with raised pathways, flowerbeds, water tank and avenues of trees and fountains. As you approach you get to fully admire the building till you get to see all the architectural details and feel the smoothness of the stone.

Petra – the stone city is a marvellous rock-cut architectural wonder. Enclosed by towering rocks you are led between two high stone walls for almost an hour till finally you get to a glimpse of light and there  at the end of the narrow gorge appears Petra's most famous ruin, Al Khazneh (known as "the Treasury") hewn into the sandstone cliff.
