A spatial sequence from a piece of sculpture or installation art.

Krijn de Koning, a Dutch artist, uses bright colours and simple geometries setting up juxtapositions between old and new, permanent and impermanent, functional and artistic. In this particular installation he added yellow walls to an existing interior creating a completely new feeling of the space. These additions interfere, obscure, distract and contradict, creating tension but at the same time they seem to fit in the space quite well creating views and framing interesting details. In his work he seems to combine disciplines – it’s a great balance between art, architecture and interior design.
